Website Designer & Developer

About the role

This isn’t a split designer-or-developer seat. Brand Bongo needs someone who understands great design primarily — hierarchy, typography, taste, conversion — and can take a site across the finish line in the browser. Coding is secondary: you don’t need to be a pure engineer, but you should be comfortable in modern IDEs and using AI tools heavily to implement, fix, and iterate. Fast previews, real client feedback, and high ownership.

What you'll do

• Design custom marketing sites and landing pages that look sharp and convert
• Implement and refine pages in production (HTML/CSS/JS or modern front-end stacks as needed)
• Use AI-assisted coding in IDEs (Cursor, Copilot, etc.) to move faster without sacrificing quality
• Own responsive polish, basic performance, and clean handoff-ready builds
• Iterate from client notes while protecting the design spine

What we're looking for

• Portfolio that proves strong website design taste (this is the primary bar)
• Ability to build and edit real sites — not design-only handoffs
• Comfortable working heavily with AI coding assistants inside professional IDEs
• Understanding of responsive layout, typography, and conversion-minded UX
• Authorized to work remotely in the United States

Nice to have

• Figma + Next.js / React / Tailwind familiarity
• Experience shipping lead-gen or small-business marketing sites
• Light motion / micro-interaction sensibility
