1Our Commitment to Accessibility

SEO Hermit LLC dba Brand Bongo is committed to ensuring that our website and the websites we build for clients are accessible to all people, including those with disabilities. We believe that the web works best when it is open and usable by everyone, regardless of ability or the technology they use to access it. Accessibility is not an afterthought at Brand Bongo — it is a core part of our development standards.

2Standards We Target

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA: Our website and the websites we build aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
  • ADA compliance: We design and develop in alignment with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) digital accessibility requirements as currently interpreted by U.S. courts and guidance.
  • Section 508: Where relevant, we incorporate Section 508 standards applicable to electronic and information technology.
  • ARIA standards: We implement WAI-ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes where appropriate to support assistive technologies.

3Technical Accessibility Features

  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements on our website are operable via keyboard, without requiring a mouse.
  • Screen reader compatibility: We use semantic HTML, meaningful alt text for images, and ARIA labels to ensure compatibility with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
  • Color contrast: We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, in accordance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
  • Text resizing: Content remains readable and functional when text size is increased up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • Focus indicators: Visible focus states are provided for all keyboard-navigable elements.
  • Skip navigation: A skip-to-main-content link is available at the top of each page to allow keyboard and screen reader users to bypass repeated navigation.
  • Responsive design: All layouts adapt to a range of viewport sizes and zoom levels without horizontal scrolling or content loss.
  • No reliance on color alone: Information conveyed by color is also communicated through text labels, patterns, or other visual means.
  • Form accessibility: All form fields include associated visible labels, error messages are descriptive, and required fields are clearly indicated.
  • Video & media: Where video content is published, we aim to provide captions or transcripts. Audio-only content includes transcripts.

4Accessibility in Client Websites

  • When we build websites for clients, accessibility best practices are included as a standard part of our development process — not an optional add-on.
  • All client websites are built with semantic HTML5, keyboard operability, adequate color contrast, and screen reader support as baseline requirements.
  • We include alt text guidance and structured content templates to help clients maintain accessibility as they update their own content.
  • Clients with specific accessibility requirements (e.g., government contractors, healthcare providers, educational institutions) should communicate these during the project brief phase so we can ensure compliance with any heightened standards.

5Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some third-party content, embedded tools, or legacy integrations may not meet our accessibility standards. We actively work to identify and remediate these issues. If you encounter a barrier, please let us know and we will prioritize a fix. Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time certification.

6Assistive Technology Support

  • Screen readers: NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), TalkBack (Android).
  • Browsers: Modern versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on desktop and mobile.
  • Voice control: Dragon NaturallySpeaking and Voice Control on iOS/macOS.
  • Magnification: Browser zoom and OS-level magnification tools.
  • We recommend using the latest version of your browser and assistive technology for the best experience.

7Ongoing Efforts & Monitoring

  • We conduct periodic internal accessibility audits using automated tools and manual testing.
  • We use tools including axe, Lighthouse, and WAVE to identify and address accessibility issues.
  • New features and design updates are reviewed for accessibility compliance prior to deployment.
  • We engage in ongoing training to keep our team current with evolving accessibility standards and best practices.

8Reporting an Accessibility Issue

We welcome feedback on accessibility. If you experience a barrier accessing any part of our website or a website we have built, or if you have suggestions for improvement, please contact us at legal@brandbongo.com. Include a description of the issue, the page or feature affected, and the assistive technology or browser you are using. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 2 business days and to provide a resolution or workaround within 10 business days.

9Formal Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you may contact the U.S. Department of Justice (ADA.gov) or your applicable national accessibility authority. For WCAG-related concerns, the W3C maintains resources at w3.org/WAI.

10Third-Party Content

Our website may include embedded third-party content (e.g., videos, maps, social media widgets, analytics scripts). We cannot guarantee the accessibility of content or interfaces controlled by third parties. Where alternative access to third-party content is available, we will make reasonable efforts to provide it. We encourage you to contact the relevant third-party providers directly regarding their accessibility practices.

11Legal Disclaimer

This Accessibility Policy represents our good-faith commitment and current state of accessibility efforts. It does not constitute a legal guarantee of compliance with any specific standard or regulation. We update this policy periodically to reflect our ongoing efforts and any material changes to our accessibility posture.

12Policy Updates

We review and update this Accessibility Policy at least annually, and following any significant changes to our website or services. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
